Write it, Pick it, Dream it, Play it And Become IT- A movie 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' underlining the Law of Attraction

Bareilly ki Barfi

The Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction is a newly branded theme in recent time after the (2006) documentary film 'The Secret'. In 1877, the term "Law of Attraction' appeared in print first time in a book written by Russian occultist  Helena Blavatsky. She unveiled esoteric mysteries of ancient theosophy.  By the end of 19th century , we see the New Thought authors like Prentice Mulford and Ralph Waido Trine the term Law of Attraction was being used. They emphasized its application in every aspect of life.

In 20th century the subject Law of Attraction had gained its momentum ,with many books two still attract huge readers. The first one Think and Grow Rich (1937) by Napoleon Hill and You Can Heal your Life (1984) by Louise Hay.

In 2006, Rhonda Byrne's book and the movie The Secret got wide spread attention of the media and general followers.

New thought authors proclaim that the Law of Attraction is always in operation and that brings to each person the conditions and experiences in life that they predominantly think about or which they desire or expect.

Charles Hannel wrote in his book The Master Key System (1912)
The Law of attraction will certainly and unerringly bring to you the conditions, environment and experiences in life, corresponding with your habitual characteristic, predominant mental attitude.

Here the movie Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) comes in. Before moving to its story line and analysis we may consider the Law of Attraction that claims a person can have anything  just by wanting it and believing it will happen. While arguments for and against the existence of Law of Attraction as a universal law of physics rage on, there are several people claiming that their success or failure in life is directly attributed from principles of the law of attraction. Whether we believe it or not , the law of attraction is based in science of quantum physics. Quantum Physics deals with particles that are so much smaller than the recognized subatomic particles that they exist only as wave forms. These quantum particles react in manners that are completely different than the known behaviors of larger particles, yet in completely predictable patterns. Brain waves act much like these particles and many scientists believe that brain waves react with these particles to form our reality.

The movie Bareilly Ki Barfi

The story moves on around Bitti, a spirited woman of Bareilly.

She enjoys her financial independence, careless on her social obligation and barriers which are invariably imposed into girls where she lives. She loves riding motorcycles, loves disco dancing. She is a regular smoker and occasional drinker. Bitti, however, wants a husband who understands her and more importantly. who accepts her exactly the way she is.

The Climax

The novel named .Bareilly Ki Barfi' was written by Chirag Dubey, who owns a printing press,  in a broken heart . But he did not want to defame his beloved by using his own name. instead he credited his friend Pritam Vidrohi as the author. However the book was not a success.
In the meantime Bitti overhears the conversation of her parents on her future prospect and feels very sad. Despite her father consoling Bitti, she leaves her home apparently having nowhere to go. While waiting for the train she buys the book entitles 'Bareilly ki Barfi' at a discounted price. She read the book on board and finds similarity and identified herself with the protagonist. Immediately she decides to come back home, starts haunting for the author of the book and reaches to Chirag.
Relationship
Chirag and Pritam (played by Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao)

Being befriended with Chirag, she continues dreams to meet the author Pritam. But Chirag looses his heart to Bitti and does all possible things to impress Bitti but fails to communicate that actually he is the author whom she is wanting to meet. After considerable drama it is Pritam who breaks down and opens up the truth on the table. Finally Bitti and Chirag tie the knot .

Synchronicity

Carl Gustav Jung introduced the Synchronicity in 1920s but gave a full description in 1951.
Law of Attraction
Carl Gustav Jung
Synchronicity as he stated that events are meaningful coincidences if they occur with no causal relationship yet seem to be meaningfully related.

In his book Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting principle Jung wrote

...it is impossible, with our present resources, to explain ESP, or the fact of meaningful coincidence, as a phenomenon of energy. This makes an end of the causal explanation as well, for "effect" cannot be understood as anything except a phenomenon of energy. Therefore it cannot be a question of cause and effect, but of a falling together in time, a kind of simultaneity. Because of this quality of simultaneity, I have picked on the term "synchronicity" to designate a hypothetical factor equal in rank to causality as a principle of explanation.

Not going much more detailing we can easily imagine the energy flows between the novel 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' and the characters involved Chirag, Bitti and Pritam. And also the meaningful coincidence occurs in the most delicious relationship between the father and daughter duo.

When we are in a state of commitment and surrender, we begin to experience what is sometimes  called synchronicity. This attractiveness, the field that starts to develop around people who have experienced these shifts of mind, creates a phenomenon that is described as predictable miracles.

Have we not experience sometime while walking down the road and seen a sign with a name of person on it and then later on the same day or day after meet a person similar to name of the signboard? Or thinking for a career guidance quietly, suddenly we find something on which we can pursue. These are all examples of synchronicity. Many people shrug such occurrences off as random events that while interesting somewhat curious, have no real meaning. That synchronicity is in fact God's way of speaking to use about everything, from the most trivial and mundane to the most important aspects of our lives. And yes, even those things that seem the most trivial can be of great importance to the structure of our lives, for these are the bedrock on which the major events and manifestations can occur. A chance meeting or overheard conversation in a queue, while on the surface appearing to be a very minor event, has been known to change the course of more than one person's life.
Synchronicity occurs when we are searching for a sign post for our lives, a nudge as to which direction we need to move in. It also occurs when we are on the right track and just need a little ( or a lot !) validation; that we are headed in the right direction !

Here Bitti when overhears the conversation of her parents, synchronicity occurs. She took the extreme step by leaving her house, she finds a sign post in the bookstall on the platform. Then Bareilly Ki Barfi emerges.

Activating Symbols

Symbols are an extremely important component of manifesting anything for better or worse in our lives. Everything that we experience with our senses can be a symbol for something that is either happening in our lives, has happened or will happen if we continue to move along the path we have currently chosen for ourselves. Everything that we have in our home for example is a symbol that represents something that we believe to be true for us.

Law of Attraction
Bitti and Chirag

Here both Bitti and Chirag find there symbol in and out in the novel Bareilly Ki Barfi. Bitti is hunting for the author to meet and Chirag is trying to uncover himself before the girl in his dream appeared in-front of him as manifested reality.
Now think of what is most important to us to manifest at this time in our life. When symbols would best represent us, what it is that we desire to manifest? It doesn't matter what these symbols are. As long as they resonate for us they will work!
This is what that happen to Bitti and Chirag.

Everything Vibrates

Vibration is the foundation of Law of Attraction. Not digging deep into the Law of Attraction again we can conclude by the question , what is a Vibrational Invitation? What we mean by this is that we are always sending out energy that attracts other like energy to us. So in a sense, one can see it as a sort of invitation! So when someone is feeling fear for example, they are sending out a vibrational invitation for more fear to come to them. When someone is feeling happy, they are sending out an invitation for more happiness to join them. In a very real sense, when we are feeling or thinking anything, we are inviting more of it to come to us; just the same as if we opened a window and invited the neighbors in for a cup of tea.

Everything that vibrates does so at a certain rate. This rate is known as its frequency. The higher the frequency, the more potent the force will be. Thought is considered the highest form of vibration therefore it has the highest frequency. Being the highest frequency, it is considered as a powerful force in the universe.

It is Bitti whose thought process is so natural. Despite Chirag's effort to bring in Pritam and then dump him to win Bitti, she can find her desired reality by cracking the nut of Pritam by keeping an open mind.
We need to keep an open mind and get better at thinking outside the box. We ought to realize that what we perceive as impossible today might be obvious and a known fact in the near future.

The film Bareilly Ki Barfi is directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, It was released on 18th August 2017.
